Thanks to Noelle for her donation!

Relative newcomer, Noelle, has just donated to RAF!

For her donation she has been elevated to the Silver Donor status, and will see a 20 point increase in her karma.

Thanks Noelle!

Thanks to yunyun for her first donation!

What's this? Another donation from one of our beloved members? Indeed, just recently one of our youngest members, yunyun, decided it was time to donate to our Animorphs forum.

As you all should know by now, donors are elevated to the highest non-staff positions on RAF. Now, yunyun is able to modify her title, she can move and lock her own posts, and has the ability to store 10x more personal messages in her inbox/outbox. Additionally, she has been awarded 20 karma points for her donation.

Thanks yunyun!

Thanks to Unknown User for his 3rd donation!

Donations keep RAF online; I can't emphasise this fact more.
Thankfully, RAFians like Unknown User and over 50 others, contribute to the RAF Fund.

Today, I am writing this post because Unknown User has, for the 3rd time, donated to our awesome Animorphs community.

Since he has previously donated, his karma will see an increase of 20 points!

Thanks again, Unknown!

Thanks to goom for his first donation!

Not only does goom contribute his time and effort to RAF, but as of yesterday he has also added to our RAF Fund.

Since these blog posts are to highlight those who donate and to thank them for same; I would like to take this opportunity to thank goom for his continued contribution to our awesome Animorphs community!

Oh and, since he can't 'level up', and he already has access to the D-Lounge, he has been awarded an additional 10 karma points.

:) Thanks again Mr. Admin!

Thanks to wildweathel for his 2nd donation!

A few years ago, when RAF Donate just sprang to life, a relative new-comer, wildweathel, donated to our awesome Animorphs community. That donation was the 8th of its kind. But what was astounding about it was that it was the biggest of its time too.

Today, with his latest donation, wildweathel has outdone his previous donation, and all others before him. What I mean to convey is that he has now made the biggest donation in our 3 year history.

Thanks again!

Thanks to DinosaurNothlit for her donation!

Relative RAF old-timer, DinosaurNothlit, has today joined the ranks of those members who donate. Dino has probabaly noticed her karma gained 50 additional points. She now has permanent access to the D-Lounge and (among other benefits of donating) will no longer see advertisments on the Forum.

Thanks Dino!

On a related note, all donations received from November 1, 2011, onward to January 1, 2012 will go into a special place.

Thanks to Myitt for her 5th Donation!

With her 5th donation, Myitt has officially donated more than than anyone in RAF's history (she has been tied with Adam for a year).

Though the additional 50 karma points is a great reward, the donation alone is sure to warm her heart; right Myitt?

Thanks again Myitt!

Donations Make RAF Go 'Round.

Repost!
Hey guys,

I would like to remind you all that it is the donations made by our members that keep our community on its feet. As I've pointed out in the past:

Here are a list of common expenses:

1. Domains: 7 domains are currently paid for and being run under RAF.
2. Servers: 2 shared servers are used by RAF. Server /host related costs fluctuate. We are charged for backups for instance.
3. Software: RAF from time to time purchases software for users to use, or for development purposes.
4. Advertising: a forum without members is not a forum after all. I use paid services to promote RAF. This is the biggest expense outside of regular expenses.

In case you're wondering if there are any perks for donors; you're in luck:
There are three tiers based on how much you donate (you know, reward those more who donate more)

1. If you donate less than $10:
"Donor"
Your account will reflect 9 Stars, enjoy all the privileges of the "God" Rank and your account will be able to store 1000 personal messages. You'll be credited 10 karma points and you'll have access to D-Lounge. This member position will only last for 6 months.

2. If you donate more than $10, but less than $50:
"Silver Donor"
In addition to the above, your account will have 10 stars, and you'll be credited 20 karma points. This position will last for 1 year.

3. If you donate more than $50:
"Gold Donor"
In addition to the above, your account will have 11 stars, your color changes to gold, you'll be able to store unlimited personal messages (for you chatter-boxes), when you view the forum there will be no advertisements, and you'll have all these privileges forever.

Thanks to Nate for his second donation!

Ex-Staff and prominent member, SuperNate has donated for a second time today.

With this recent donation he will now be welcomed back with open arms to the D-Lounge. Of course, the additional 10 karma points is a nice addition too.

Thanks Nate!

Thanks to Fluttershy (AmberKatira) for her donation!

Just when I was about to make my monthly plea for donations, AmberKatira has decided that it's time to help fill that RAF kitty again!

On the topic of keeping us alive; that's what we were talking about, right? In any case, the last time, prior to our lovely AmberKatira's donation, that someone donated was Bear; that was over a month ago. Just putting that out there!

Thanks again Fluttershy / Amber (not sure which you prefer); for your donation, you will now be referred to as Ms. Silver Donor, Fluttershy (AmberKatira)- long but very apt. In addition, you have been awarded 20 karma points for your donation!

Thanks to Bear for his 2nd donation!

What do we have here? Another respondent to our recent plea, perhaps? Yep! Bear/Warren Bearclaw has donated for the second time recently.

For his contribution, Bear will be awarded 50 karma points, advertisements will no longer show on the Forum, and possibly most importantly, he will now shine gold!

Thanks again Bear!

Thanks to Pokey for her 2nd donation!

Moments after's yesterday's plea for continued support from our members, Pokey donated for the second time; her first time was just two months ago.

Because of her contribution, Pokey's karma has been bumped up 20 points!

Thanks again Pokey!

Reminder: RAF is run on your donations!

Hey guys,

When's the last time you saw a blog post thanking members for their donations? Hard to remember, right? Well, that's because the last time a donation was received was Pokey's over a month ago.

So in case you didn't know, or forgot, Richard's Animorphs Forum depends on donations by our users to be run. As I've pointed out in the past:

Here are a list of common expenses:

1. Domains: 7 domains are currently paid for and being run under RAF.
2. Servers: 2 shared servers are used by RAF. Server /host related costs fluctuate. We are charged for backups for instance.

Thanks to Pokey for her donation!

It is with pleasure that I announce a newcomer has donated! She is Pokey, and just FYI she registered last week.

Pokey will now enjoy access to the exclusive D-Lounge, along with an additional 10 karma points added to her account. (see all member ranks here)

Thanks Lauren!

Thanks to Slushie Man for his 4th donation!

If you noticed that Slushie Man's font color changed to a shiny gold color, then you should already gather that he has donated - again; bumping his position from Silver to Gold Donor. Actually, this donation places this multiple-time donor just a few spots below the #5 donor.

For this donation, Jeff will also see his karma increased by an additional 50 points.
His donation will go specifically into boosting RAF's public visibility over the next few days.

If you wish to donate to RAF, visit RAF Donate or click on that "donate" image you see everywhere.

Thanks Jeff!

Thanks to Marie for her 2nd donation!

Marie donated again!

Now seasoned member, Marie has, for the second time donated.

For her contribution, Marie will now be awarded an additional 20 karma points.

Thanks Marie!

Thanks to all our doners in 2010

This post is to collectively thank all those who donated to Richard's Animorphs Forum in 2010.

We began accepting donations, via PayPal through our RAF Donate portal, in early 2008 to offset the domain and hosting costs associated with keeping the Forum alive. We asked for your contributions and you responded! For this I thank of you -the marjority of whom I already thanked individually.

So who topped the year end list of most donor of 2010? That's easy. The person who topped the list made the single biggest donation in our young history.

1. PATridge In A Pear Tree
2. Stephquiem
3. Myitt
4. Adam
5. Alex Oiknine
6. Luke Skywalker (Ossanlin)
6. itw2009
6. Kit Festivus Pole
6. Enki
6. Darth Revan

Some other stats: 33 different persons donated a total of 42 times.

Thanks to Adam for his 8th Donation!

Adam Donates for a Record 8th Time

Yes, you read that right, Adam, you know, "Grimluk" has donated for a whopping EIGHTH time! Not only is this impressive because he has donated the most times, but he has donated the most amount in dollars.

This donation now firmly places him at #1 on the RAF Donor Leaderboard, a position that he held since March 2009. With the additional 50 karma points, Adam moves up to #4 as the most Karma'd RAFian.

Adam would like to remind us all that yes, he's still alive, and he will be back.

Thanks Adam!

Thanks to Hunter for his 2nd donation!

Thanks to Hunter for our first donation in over a month!... And a nice Christmas present too!

This is the second time Hunter has donated to Richard's Animorphs Forum; this donation has bumped Hunter to Silver Donor status, and received an additional 20 karma points.

Thanks Hunter!

Thanks to Myitt for her 4th donation!

Myitt ties to become #1 donor!

This is a big one guys: Myitt has donated for the fourth time today, and as a result ties Adam  for the number one spot of biggest RAF donor.

Interestingly enough, Adam has donated seven times and has been #1 since May 2009.

In addition to getting that warm feeling inside when you donate to RAF; Myitt now places 9th on the most karma'd RAFian list thanks to her +50 karma points received.

Thanks again Myitt and congratulations for being tied as RAF's biggest donor!
